SDZ 105

Collection: Swatch The Club Special

Summer 1999

Number of pieces: 20.000

The ''Sun&Moon'' was the 4th Swatch-''The Club''-Special. This time everybody could buy it at the Swatch Stores, there was no lottery in Germany for this Special. The first day on that ''Sun&Moon'' was available in Germany, was August 11th 1999. On that day was in south Germany a Total Solar Eclipse. It was the first Total Solar Eclipse in Germany since 112 years and the next one in Germany will be in 2081, so this was for many people the only chance to see a Total Solar Eclipse, without travel. Unfurtuntately had many parts of West Europe during the noon (the Total Solar Eclipse was at approx. 12.30 CET) clouds and rain, so only a very small number of people had the luck to see the corona of the sun. ''Sun&Moon'' was the first Scuba-Club-Special. Each 12 hours (12a.m. and 12p.m.) you will see a Total Solar Eclipse on the face of ''Sun&Moon''.
